FINE CRYSTAL SUGAR ICUMSA 150
Description
ICUMSA 150 sugar is a type of granulated sugar, also known as crystal white sugar. ICUMSA is the acronym for the International Commission for Uniform Methods of Sugar Analysis. ICUMSA 150 sugar is widely used in the large-scale production of pastries, beverages and foods. ICUMSA 150 sugar is formed by a crystallization process, without chemical refining. It serves as a substitute for ICUMSA 45 sugar, known as traditional white sugar, especially as it contains fewer chemicals in its composition. Crystal sugar undergoes a clarification process, using sulphitation and chalk. It is made up of fine, regular crystals, with high brilliance and 99.5% purity, widely used in the production of soft drinks, liqueurs, juices, ice cream and sweets in general. ICUMSA 150 is low in unsweetened soluble solids. It has a lighter color, tending towards white, and can be stored for up to two years. Today, Brazil is the world's largest sugarcane producer, as well as leading the way in ethanol and sugar production.
